Wilkes-Barre - April 18, 2015 -

It was the WBS Penguins taking on the Norfolk Admirals for the last season game at Mohegan Sun Arena and the very last game that we will ever see the Norfolk Admirals here in the AHL.

The Penguins would draw first blood tonight as Jayson Megna tipped in a shot on the power play. WBS looking somewhat better than last night creating chances and making better choices.

Norfolk would even things up later in the first on a goal by Brandon Montour making it one to one heading off the ice for the first intermission.

Barry Goers would tally the Penguins second goal of tonight's game just over seven minutes into the second period giving the Pens a lift and some room. Jayson Megna would light the lamp putting himself on HTA and the Pens up 3-1 on a WBS Power Play.

Second intermission came WBS had a 3-1 lead with Norfolk on a 1:46 carryover power play to start the third period.  Tommy Kuhnhackl would put the Penguins up 4-1 putting the puck past Ryan Faragher giving the Penguins even more breathing room. Jayson Megna would get the Hat Trick  first one of the season for the Penguins making it a 5-1 game, but with a lot of hockey time left on the clock.

Megnas Hat Trick goal would prove to be the game winner as the Norfolk Admirals would tally three goals unanswered by the Penguins  during the third falling to the Penguins by just one goal. The WBS Penguins taking the last home game of the season and the last game ever for the Norfolk Admirals in WBS by the score of 5-4.

We at PenFans4Ever would like to wish the Coaches, Staff and Player from the Norfolk Admirals all the luck and success with their new endeavors they have always had a great team and great supporters we know that they will have much support with their change.
