Wilkes-Barre - December 4, 2015 -

It was the Lehigh Valley Phasntoms stepping on the WBS ice tonight to take on the first place WBS Penguins. Lehigh Valley sitting on a 10-11-2-0 record in 5th place and WBS sitiing on a 16-2-0-0 record.

WBS got off to a decent start getting on the boards first as Conor Sheary knocked on past Anthony Solarz. That would be about it for the first period WBS had some nice looks but Solarz held his ground keeping it a one goal game.

Heading off the ice for the first intermission it was the WBS Penguins holding a one to none lead over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms with forty more minutes of hockey yet to play.

The Phantoms would get two goals in the second Aaron Palushaj gets hit with a stretch pass that puts him behind every WBS player he came in on Murray and made it 1-1.

Mark All would tally the Phantoms second of the night beating Matt Murray clean giving the Phantoms a one goal lead that they would hold through the end of the second period WBS 1 LV 2.

The third period was not any better for the WBS Penguins as they seemed to slip further and further away from what they needed to accomplish. Passes were sloppy and puck possession was horrible it just seemed that the boys could not get it together.

Late in the third and I do mean late 1:59 left in regulation the Penguins would get a chance to even things up, WBS calls a time out to re-group. Off the face off they pull Murray creating a 6 on 4 power play for WBS but with the sloppy puck management they were using they give up the puck and the Phantoms get a short handed empty net goal making it 3-1 with just 21 seconds left in the game.

Needless to say the Penguins fell to the Phantoms not only dropping tonight's game but putting an end to a new team high of 10 home wins in a row.
