New York - September 20, 2015 - New York Islanders prospect Joshua Ho-Sang's was sent to the Ontario Hockey League after arriving late to practice on Friday and admitted he was embarrassed on Saturday.

"Obviously a lot more people found out about my mistake than other people's daily ones, but I definitely take ownership," Ho-Sang said according to Newsday after having an assist in the Niagara IceDogs 2-1 preseason loss on Saturday. "I don't think there's anyone to blame. ...it's embarrassing."

Ho-Sang did not set an alarm clock and overslept causing him to be late to the Islanders' first day of training camp. Islanders general manager Garth Snow immediately sent him to his OHL team in Niagara.

He had 81 points (17 goals, 64 assists) in 60 games last season in the OHL with Niagara and the Windsor Spitfires.

The 19-year-old, who was selected with the 28th pick in the 2014 NHL Draft, said he relied on teammates or the hotel's front desk to wake him up.

"Neither of that happened [Friday]," he said. "At the end of the day, it would have been avoided if I set an alarm . . . I should probably start doing that."
