Nashville - March 28, 2019 - Dante Fabbro signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Nashville Predators on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-1, 193-pound defenseman, selected by Nashville with the No. 17 pick in the 2016 NHL Draft, could make his NHL debut when the Predators visit the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena on Friday (7 p.m. ET; NHLN, ATTSN-PT, FS-TN, NHL.TV).

Fabbro had 33 points (seven goals, 26 assists) in 38 games this season with Boston University, and was named a Hockey East second team All-Star for the second straight season. He finished his three-year collegiate career with 80 points (22 goals, 58 assists) in 112 games.

The 20-year-old has represented Canada several times at the international level, most recently at the 2018 Spengler Cup, where he had two goals and an assist in four games and was named to the all-tournament team. He won a gold medal as an alternate captain with Canada at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Fabbro practiced on Wednesday with the Predators, who are second in the Central Division, two points behind the first-place Winnipeg Jets and two ahead of the third-place St. Louis Blues.
