Stoney Point - March 15, 2019 - By early in the second period the Windsor Spitfires found themselves down 3-0 to the Flint Firebirds. The Spits rallied to tie the game in the third but lost in the shootout on a goal by former Spit Cody Morgan.

As of this morning, the Spits sit in the 7th spot in the Western Conference, tied with 59 points with the Sarnia Sting. Windsor plays their final regular season game tonight in Sarnia. The Erie Otters are three points back with two games in hand.

As such, the Spits' magic number is two. Any combination of two points gained by the Spits or lost by the Otters will secure a playoff spot for Windsor. The Spits are 2-5-2-1 in their last ten games and have lost six straight at home.

If the Spits make the playoffs, they will face either the London Knights or the Saginaw Spirit.
