Essex - April 18, 2019 - More than 3,500 students will have the chance to experience the Earth Day Travelling Road Show over the next two weeks, thanks to the lead sponsorship of the Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation. The Foundation is the presenting partner of this fun, interactive educational outreach program, developed and delivered by the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) to primary students (K-4) across Windsor-Essex.

“We are so thankful to the Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation for their tremendous support of this program,” said Irek Kusmierczyk, Chair of the Essex Region Conservation Authority. “On behalf of all of the kids who will benefit from this experience, we express our sincerest appreciation to all who are making this learning opportunity possible.”

During the show, students will be introduced to entertaining characters, sing songs, and participate in a variety of experiences. They will learn about water conservation and travel through the water cycle, while learning about how they can make choices to make every day Earth Day.

Essex Region Conservation is also grateful to supporting sponsor ENWIN Utilities, who produced videos for the event that will enable students to become Conservation Detectives and learn about energy conservation.

For more than four decades, Essex Region Conservation has been sustaining and enriching the environment of the Windsor-Essex-Pelee Island region to ensure it is the Place for Life.
