Brady Vail had a pair of goals and four points, as the Spitfires cruised to a 5-2 win over the Sudbury Wolves Sunday at the WFCU Centre. The Spits took five of a possible six points over the weekend.

Windsor - September 30, 2012 - With a 5-2 victory over the Sudbury Wolves, the Windsor Spitfires captured five out of a possible six points in three Ontario Hockey League weekend games. Once again, Brady Vail paced the Spits to victory. The Montreal Canadiens prospect had two goals and two assists to lead the home team to victory in front of 5,960 fans at the WFCU Centre.

Windsor jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two periods before the Wolves started to make a comeback attempt. Dominik Kahun and Dominik Kubalik scored 1:12 minutes for Sudbury and pulled the visitors within two. This would be as close as they would come, as Ben Johnson put the game away with an empty netter in the final minute.

Kerby Rychel and Pat Sieloff each scored their first of the season for the Spits. Jaroslav Pavelka put in another strong performance for the Spitfires, turning away 26 Sudbury shots. Joel Vienneau made 31 saves in a losing effort for the Wolves.

It was a tame affair with only 14 minutes in penalties being handed out. Windsor went two for five on the powerplay and killed off both Sudbury man-advantages. Vail, Sieloff and Chris Marchese were the announced three stars.

Looking ahead to Thanksgiving weekend, the Spits will host the Guelph Storm on Thursday, travel east on the 401 on Friday to take on the London Knights and return home on Monday to host the Sarnia Sting.
