Windsor - October 4, 2012 - The Windsor Spitfires continue their 2012-13 Ontario Hockey League season with a home game against the Guelph Storm. Tonight’s game will mark the first trip for the Guelph Storm this season. Game time is 7:05 pm.
Guelph Storm
The Storm have an even record at 2-2-0-0 after heading into London on Sunday afternoon and soundly defeated the Knights 4-1, one of the top ranked teams in the country. Matt Finn and Tanner Richard lead the Storm in scoring with four points apiece in the first four games. The Storm are currently tied for third in the MidWest Division.
Windsor Spitfires
The Spitfires enter the game coming off a very successful weekend having captured five out of a possible six points. Windsor’s record now sits at 3-1-0-1. Montreal Draftee Brady Vail leads the team in scoring with nine points in five games and sits third in League scoring. Colorado Avalanche prospect Michael Clarke is second in goal scoring with three. The Spits have secured seven out of a possible eight points since losing their home opener to the Owen Sound Attack.

It is expected that Garret Sparks will get the start for Guelph. Sparks is a draftee of the Toronto Maple Leafs and has played all of the minutes thus far for the Storm. Expect Jaroslav Pavelka to be between the pipes tonight for the home team. Pavelka has played well in this recent streak that the Spits are on.
Parting thoughts It is a busy Thanksgiving weekend for the Spits as they host the Storm tonight, travel east on the 401 tomorrow to take on the London Knights and return home on Monday to host the Sarnia Sting.
