Cornwall - Jan. 2, 2011 - From new restaurants to professional offices, there's been a wave of new business activity in recent weeks - and there's more to come.

The growing restaurant scene downtown is now home to another hotspot with the recent opening of Truffles Burger Bar at the corner of Second and Pitt streets.

A little further west on Second Street, Ed Event Decorators has opened its doors for those looking for help in planning that special event. Meanwhile, the Upper Canada District School Board has opened a new office a short distance away, in the Time Square building at the corner of Second and Augustus streets. Several blocks north, a new real estate company, Storm Realty, has established an office near the corner of Pitt and Fourth streets. Further south, Snails II Nightspot recently opened its doors on First Street (next to Kastners), and the area will see further changes as Angel's Gift Shop is planning to relocate to the corner of First and Pitt in the near year, while Axxis Optical is getting set to move in to the old Standard-Freeholder building in late December.

The Cornwall Square also has some new faces with the arrival of A & W in the food court and two seasonal outlets, McIntosh and Calendar Club.
