Cornwall - Oct. 19, 2011 - Sue Turcotte is all smiles as she officially opens the newest Footwear Store in Cornwall. Located on the corner of Pitt and 11th Street
(1077 Pitt Street, parking off of 11th Street) the store boasts several brand names that have previously not been available in Cornwall –
Uggs, Ecco, Pikolinos, Bates, Merrell, Keen, Mephisto and others than have seen limited availability such as Birkenstock, Columbia, Sorel and others.
Ms. Turcotte explained how she came to open a footwear store - “The idea behind Step Above Footwear was to create a shoe store offering all
the quality brands of footwear. Attracting business back into Cornwall was paramount when planning the
business. We researched why a lot of people were shopping out of town for their footwear, and discovered that it was simply because the brands they were looking for were not sold in Cornwall.
We took this information and used it to develop a business plan to earn the business back, and to keep the
customers right here. We not only looked at the brands, but also studied the needs of the customer.
We brought in the top brands for running, walking, cross training and fashion. We also brought in the best
brands for hiking, and a full line of outdoor wear and winter boots. Fashion footwear, dress casual and
hard to fit sizes, are all part of our inventory. Kids shoes and boots, including toddler footwear, are again
part of Step Above Footwear. Uniform boots, work boots and a full line of orthopedic shoes, including
split sizes are available. Even electric boots for those cold winter days.

Step Above Footwear is open Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm; Saturday 10 am to 5pm; Closed on Sunday. |
