Cornwall - Nov. 7, 2011 - Winners, Canada’s largest off-price retailer, has improved its presence in Cornwall with a brand-new store.
Located at the corner of Brookdale and Tollgate, Winners now offers over 20,000 square feet of designer and brand name merchandise at up to 60 % less than department and specialty store prices. The new store will feature fashions for the entire family as well as accessories, home accents and giftware.
“With the grand re-opening of the new Cornwall location, Winners is meeting consumer demand for quality, brand name merchandise,” explains Shannon Johnson, Winners Spokesperson. “Our newest store will offer shoppers the designer names they know and trust at prices well below department and specialty stores.”
Since opening its first store over 25 years ago, the Winners name has become synonymous with off-price shopping. With over 215 stores nationwide, Winners utilizes its tremendous buying power and strong vendor relationships to deliver high quality, brand name merchandise at a great value.
Thousands of new items arrive every week to every store so Winners is never the same store twice.
Mayor Bob Kilger was on hand for the official ribbon cutting opening ceremony which took place on Thursday, November 3, 2011.
Regular store hours are Monday to Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Winners store is the first store to open in the new commercial plaza on the northeast corner of Brookdale and Tollgate. Michaels, SportChek and PetSmart will soon follow with new stores at that plaza.
