Windsor - Jun. 17, 2013 - The University of Windsor held its Ninety-ninth Convocation last week. The First Session was held on Wednesday, June 12th for the Faculty of Education. Dr. Mary Louise Fallis received the Degree of Doctor of Laws, and addressed the graduating class of 2013. Dr. Fallis spoke of getting back to basics, by turning off technology every now and then, and enjoying each other’s company in person.

She then led the group in a sing-a-long. Yes. A sing-a-long? At Convocation? Yes, and it was wonderful! The song was “Row,Row,Row Your Boat”, and everyone, from parents and friends to Dr. Alan Wildeman sang along, complete with actions! It was truly inspiring.

On a personal note, my wife, son, future son-in-law, mom and sister were all there to cheer on my daughter Andrea, who graduated with the Degree of Bachelor of Education. Congratulations, Boo! We are all very proud of you!!
