Stoney Point - Aug. 11, 2013 - I have been a little behind in processing and posting wildlife photos. More to come in the following weeks. Today, we had an American Goldfinch visit the nieghbour's garden. He wasn't there long, so my photo opportunities were limited. I apologize for the shot being a bit out of focus.

The Royal Ontario Museum Field Guide describes the American Goldfinch as "a lively little finch which is also known as a "wild canary". Gregarious throughout most of the year, the American Goldfinch is often observed in large feeding flocks in the winter.
