SNAPSHOT - Spring has sprung!

Stoney Point - Apr. 5, 2014:
Dare I type it ... dare we think it. I'm hesitant because I'll be driving on Monday morning and white flakes will begin to speckle my windshield and all of a sudden we're faced with some storm and 15-20 centimeters.

I want to see purple crocus dotting the landscape during my walks. I want to pack away the toques because they still need to be within reach for my four year old. We played outside from Noon until 4 pm and had to go inside to get ready for a dinner engagement. Time on the dock and beach with the sun warming us felt amazing. The trampoline is back in good working order in the yard and we got to kick the ball around - yes, let's live on the edge and state Spring is here.

I wanted to share some photos I took from our yard today. Lake St. Clair is opening up so our neighbours have returned: redheaded ducks, mergansers, scaups, mallards and our good friends the swans. The swan was captured while I was sitting on the dock and I felt he stopped midair to look at me and have a chat. Here's to Spring!
