Scarborough - July 29, 2013 - With the by-election days away, Liberal candidate Mitzie Hunter has misled the public about a supposed “endorsement” from John Tory, said Scarborough PC Candidate Ken Kirupa.
Liberal candidate Mitzie Hunter has papered Scarborough with flyers claiming an endorsement from John Tory.
Reached for comment, the well-known Toronto radio host and community leader denied authorizing his quote endorsing Hunter, instead reiterating his support for PC Candidate Ken Kirupa, with whom he intends to campaign in these last, crucial days of the byelection.
“As usual, the Liberals will stop at nothing to further their political aims,” Kirupa continued. “But voters in Scarborough deserve to know the truth about which candidate has been misleading taxpayers, and which candidate is running on a plan endorsed by one of this city’s most respected community leaders.”
“It’s time to show the Liberals and the NDP that enough is enough. On August 1st, it’s time to send a message.”
