Lakeshore to add two shade structures in Belle River
Lakeshore Council has supported the addition of two shade structures on the West Beach Jetty. The Jetty is intended to separate beach goers from boaters. The new jetty will have a 9 m solid surface with viewing areas, seating and access from the West Beach. It not only protects swimmers from boaters, but provides a new opportunity to connect to Lakeshore’s waterfront on Lake St. Clair.

Lakeshore - March 27, 2018 - Lakeshore Council has supported the addition of two shade structures on the West Beach Jetty.

The design is developed by a local contractor - Facca and is a unique form that will be identifiable with the jetty structure. The structure and high strength concrete roof panels provide superior strength and longevity. The design is at no additional costs to the project and provides Lakeshore with the opportunity to have a unique and innovative design that is manufactured by a local contractor.

Lakeshore Council has also approved an option of adding two Lakeshore signs - at the entrance of the jetty and at the outside of the last structure facing the water.

Clair.

Construction of the Jetty began in November and is anticipated to be complete this summer.
