Cornwall - Nov. 21, 2011 - Tony Luis was the guest of honour at a gathering of fans and supporters at Schnitzel’s European Flavours this weekend. Special guest, TSN boxing analyst Russ Anber, who also helps train Tony from his Montreal boxing club spoke to the crowd about Luis’ drive and dedication to his sport.

Anber pointed out that Luis is already a world class boxer but has the potential to go for a world championship match.

Luis is the current WBC Continental Americas Jr. Welterweight Champion. Luis and his father Jorge also spoke about the sweet science of boxing and how they’re proud to call Cornwall home.

The elder Luis is the manager and lead trainer of Champs Eastside Boxing on Jarvis Street. The evening was also used as the launch of the Tony Luis promotion/highlight video, written and produced by the Cornwall based group Elite World Artists.

Unity Savings and Credit Union sponsored the evening which began about an hour before the Santa Claus parade and continued until about 8pm.
