A busy week at the Lancaster Curling Club
On Saturday, the Lancaster Curling Club hosted the Kirsty MacLeod Mixed Invitational which was well attended. Sixteen teams participated. Sue Derby rink is pictured (left to right) Mike Mayes, Dan Sloan, Bonnie Mayes-MacLeod and Sue Derby.

Lancaster - Nov. 28, 2011 - It was a busy week at the Lancaster Curling Club. On Tuesday November 22nd the club hosted their Ladies Invitational Bonspiel.

Teams from Alexandria, Cornwall, Morrisburg, Prescott and Vankleek Hill participated. The events sponsor The Jewellery Factory Outlet of Lancaster, provided pendants and brooches to the winners and gifts certificates to the non-winners.

Overall winners of the event were from Vankleek Hill with 21.5 points skipped by May Price, 3rd was Carole McIntyre, 2nd Wendy Duncan and Lead was Claudette Deserres.

Runners up Team, with 20 points was from Cornwall skipped by Ann Bruni, 3rd Flora Hill, 2nd Catherine Poirier and Lead Pat Parker.

Winners of the One Game High were from Morrisburg skipped by Greta McGann, 3rd Cheryl Thompson, 2nd Yvonne Mabo and Lead Claire Locke.

Cordindator Elaine Pye wishes to thank Sandra Kruszel for the fantasic luncheon she provided along with thanks to the event helpers Barbara Menard, Darleen Rankin, Denise Dubeau, Elaine Warden, Janice MacLeod and Maureen Stephens.
