Canada set to face Korea in U-17 Women
Canada will face Korea DPR on Thursday morning, in the quarter-final phase of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Azerbaijan 2012. The match will be broadcast live on CBCSports.ca st 8:00am ET / 5:00am PT.

Toronto - October 3, 2012 - Canada will face Korea DPR in the quarter-final phase of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Azerbaijan 2012. The two sides will meet at the 8KM Stadium in Baku with a 17:00 local kick off. The first match of the day will be followed by another quarter-final match, with the Nigeria-France match to follow at 20:00 local also at the 8KM Stadium in Baku.

The Canada-Korea DPR match will be broadcast live on CBCSports.ca at 8:00am ET / 5:00am PT. Fans can also follow the match live via twitter.com/CanadaSoccerEN.

Canada qualified for the quarter-final phase after finishing undefeated with seven points in three matches. Canada drew 1-1 with Nigeria on September 22nd, won 1-0 over Colombia on September 25th, and 1-0 over host Azerbaijan on September 29th. Canada's goal scorer was also the player of the match in all three group matches: Amandine Pierre-Louis against Nigeria, Summer Clarke against Colombia, and Valérie Sanderson against Azerbaijan.

The sixteen team FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup Azerbaijan 2012 runs September 22nd to October 13th in Baku (five venues) and Lankaran (one venue). The four quarter-final matches will be played over two days, with Groups A & B meeting on October 4th (Korea DPR v Canada and Nigeria v France) and Groups C & D meeting on October 5th. The two semi-final matches will be played on October 9th while the match for third place and championship final will be played on October 13th.
