Cornwall - Jan. 14, 2011 - Dealing with complex government application forms can be quite intimidating. As well, accessing the appropriate information via the telephone or internet can be equally challenging. Have you ever experienced frustration dealing with the federal bureaucracy? Well my staff and I can point you in the right direction! Often a quick call to my office can save you a good deal of time.

We often receive calls from constituents who do not know where to turn after trying to access government services. In many cases they have called us as a last resort after many calls, emails and letters to government agencies without the tools to help them. They are pleasantly surprised to realize we have a "live person" answering the phone. Constituents do not get recorded messages or a series of push button options when they call my office during working hours. Not always, but often, we can resolve their problem or provide the necessary information to them within hours or even minutes.

Exactly what services do my offices provide?

We certainly can help with passports. My staff have assisted over 27,000 constituents get their passports at over 30 Passport Clinics throughout the riding or in my office. With all this practice we are quite familiar with the process. We can advise and help with the application from start to finish. Constituents applying for passports through my office usually receive them within 21 days.

We also do a lot of case work for constituents who have EI problems, immigration delays and Canada Revenue difficulties. Further, we assist constituents with Canada Pension or Old Age Security applications or inquiries.

We cannot always resolve every situation to everyone's satisfaction, but we can ensure all options are considered and reasons for decisions made are fully explained. My office can help with most services provided by all federal government departments. If you are having difficulty accessing a service you feel you are entitled to please call my office. I have the hardest working, most dedicated staff ready and willing to provide you with the quality service you deserve.

My Cornwall office is located at 621 Pitt St. and we provide itinerant service at the municipal office in Winchester every Monday from 8:30am-10:00am and at the Morrisburg Mall from 10:30am-12:00pm. We can be reached by phone at 1-888-805-2513.
