Col. Hanson donates local photographs to South Stormont

Long Sault - Jan. 28, 2011 - At the January 26, 2011 regular meeting, Council of the Township of South Stormont had the opportunity to express appreciation to Col. Calvin Hanson for his donation of six beautiful framed photographic prints that now hang throughout the new Town Hall. Deputy Mayor Hart advised that all of the pictures were taken within the Township and that they wonderfully showcase the region.

Mr. Hanson recently won top prize in a contest in the Ottawa Citizen. You can see a copy of his winning photo by following this link.

Besides his photography skills, Hanson is also an accomplished athlete. He was inducted into our the South Stormont Sports Hall of Fame for his equestrian career in 2007.
