Hudak says Ontario needs change from Tax & Spend Liberals
“After eight years, Ontario families know Dalton McGuinty can only be relied on for two things: recklessly increasing government spending and then raising taxes to pay for it. Make no mistake, if given the chance, he will raise taxes again after the next election", said Hudak.

Cornwall - Apr. 28, 2011 - Yesterday, Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak met with the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce at the Best Western Parkway Inn. Hudak was in town to talk about change things that a potential PC government would do differently than the government today.

Hudak said the Ontario PCs who will create the right conditions for job creation, get government focused on the frontline services that matter to Ontario families, and put families first by giving them the relief they deserve.

Hudak, who was joined by SDSG Candidate Jim McDonnell, discussed his commitment to creating the right conditions for job creation, such as reducing red tape and providing reliable, affordable energy and competitive tax rates. He also reaffirmed his commitment to get government spending focused on frontline health care by eliminating Dalton McGuinty’s LHINs.

Hudak said an Ontario PC government will put families first and provide them with the relief they deserve and a chance to catch up from the HST tax grab and skyrocketing hydro bills.

“After eight years, Ontario families know Dalton McGuinty can only be relied on for two things: recklessly increasing government spending and then raising taxes to pay for it. Make no mistake, if given the chance, he will raise taxes again after the next election", said Hudak.

The Liberal Nomination is now wide open with the recent announcement that current MPP Jim Brownell will not be seeking re-election. To date, former Cornwall Councillor Mark MacDonald, retired St. Lawrence Collage Director Pat Finucan and community activist Denis Sabourin have announced their intention to seek the Liberal Nomination. At this point, there are no announced candidates for the other parties.

Ontarians go to the polls on Thursday October 6, 2011.
