The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:It is alleged that on the 21st of September, 2011 a youth entered into an altercation with his 14 year-old brother when he pulled an knife and threatened him.

Cornwall - Sep. 26, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:

FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON- Justin McCourt, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on the 22nd of September, 2011. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 8th of September, 2011 he failed to attend for fingerprints at the Cornwall Community Police Service Headquarters. He was charged with Fail to Appear and Breach of Probation Order. He was released to appear in court on the 8th of November, 2011.

Cornwall, ON- A 19 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 23rd of September, 2011. He is bound by a Probation Order to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He is also bound by two Youth Criminal Justice Act Probation Orders with the conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and not to be in possession of illegal substances. It is alleged that he failed to attend for fingerprints on the 21st of September, 2011. He was located and charged. Subsequent to his arrest, he was found to be in possession of prescription pills that did not belong to him. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on the 11th of October, 2011.

WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Roger Bastien, 41 of Cornwall was arrested on the 22nd of September, 2011under the strength of a bench warrant. It is alleged that he failed to attend court on the 13th of September and the warrant was issued. He was located and held in custody until court later that day.

COMMITTAL WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Ryan McConkey, 23 of Cornwall was arrested on the 24th of September, 2011 under the strength of a Committal Warrant. It is alleged that on the 25th of August, 2011 a warrant was sought for surety revocation. He was held in custody until court the following day.

THREATS
Cornwall, ON- A 12 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 22nd of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 21st of September, 2011 the youth entered into an altercation with his 14 year-old brother when he pulled an knife and threatened him. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Utter Threat to Cause Death and released to his mother. The youth is to appear in court on the 10th of November, 2011 to answer to the charge. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT POLICE, RESIST ARREST AND CAUSE DISTAUBANCE
Cornwall, ON- Robert Duval, 52 of Cornwall was arrested on the 22nd of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 22nd September, 2011 he was under the influence of alcohol and causing a disturbance. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Upon his arrest, he resisted arrest by not following police directions and kicked a Police officer in the leg. The police officer suffered minor injuries. He was charged with Cause a Disturbance, 2 counts of Obstruct/Resist Arrest and Assault Police. He was held in custody until court the following day.

ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 16 year-old Long Sault youth was arrested on the 22nd of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 20th of September, 2011 while on the school bus he entered into an altercation with an 11 year-old student when he assaulted him. The 11 year-old student was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Assault and released to his parents. The youth is to appear in court on the 27th of October, 2011 to answer to the charge.

MISCHIEF, ASSAULT POLICE AND RESIST ARREST
Cornwall, ON- Norman Giroux, 54 of Cornwall was arrested on the 22nd of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 22nd of September, 2011 he was causing damage to signs and throwing them in the roadway. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He refused to co-operate with a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division and assaulted him. The police officer did suffered minor injuries. He was charged with Mischief, Resisted arrest and Assault Police. He was held in custody to await court the following day.

BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- Geoffery Head, 55 of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of September, 2011. He was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He was also bound by a Recognizance with the condition of be under house arrest unless accompanied by surety. It is alleged that on the 23rd of September, 2011 he left his residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Breach of Probation Order and Breach of Recognizance. He was released to appear in court on the 15th of November, 2011.

Cornwall, ON- A 12 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested twice on the 24th of September, 2011. The youth was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions to abide by house rules and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 23rd of September, 2011 he was reported missing and failed to return home for curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was located and charged with 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. Subsequently, the youth was arrested again for leaving his residence without permission. He was charged with an additional 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. He was released to his mother to appear in court on the 11th of November, 2011 to answer to the charges. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

PUBLIC MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON- An 18 year-old male and a 19 year-old male, both from Cornwall were arrested on the 23rd of September, 2011. The 18 year-old male was bound by a Youth Criminal Justice Act Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 23rd of September, 2011 they reported a robbery. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The investigation revealed that the incident was fabricated. Both males were charged with Public Mischief . The 18 year-old was further charged with Breach of Probation Order. They were released to appear in court on the 29th of November, 2011. The names were not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 39 year-old Newington man was arrested on the 23rd of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 23rd of September, 2011 he entered into an altercation with his 38 year-old estranged wife when he assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The victim did not suffer any injuries. He was charged with Domestic Assault and held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND SEXUAL ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- An 18 year-old Newington man was arrested on the 23rd of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 23rd of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 23rd of September, 2011 he entered into an altercation with his 22 year-old ex-girlfriend when he sexually grabbed her and proceeded to assault her. The victim did not suffer from any injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and Sexual Assault. He was held in custody to await court until the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim.

THEFT & BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, ON- Melissa Scott, 24 and John Sabourin, 37 both of Cornwall were arrested on the 24th of September, 2011. Both were bound by a Undertaking with the relevant condition not to have contact with one another directly or indirectly and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 24th of September, 2011 they attended the hospital and lremoved medication. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking. He was charged with 2 counts of Undertaking. They were both released to appear in court on the 4th of October, 2011 to answer to the charges.

DOMESTIC BREACH & POSSESSION OF PROHIBITED WEAPON
Cornwall, ON- A 19 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 24th of September, 2011. He was bound by an Undertaking with the relevant condition not communicate directly or indirectly with his 19 year-old ex-girlfriend and Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 24th of September, 2011, police attended his residence and the female was present. Subsequently to the arrest, the male was found to be in possession of brass knuckles. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and Possession of Prohibited Weapon. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the female in this incident.

BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 24th of September, 2011 at a Pitt Street business. The suspect(s) gained entry by throwing rocks through the main door glass and proceeded to removed lamps, numerous assorted bracelets, numerous lighters, a Toshiba Laptop, Canadian and United States currency, several pocket knives, 2 dagger knifes and numerous lasers pointers. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 22nd of September, 2011 and the 24th of September, 2011 at a Ninth Street business. The suspect(s) gained entry by removing the lock of the side gate and proceeded to removed an Evolution Spa 5 to 6 man hot tub lamps and a 8-inch Honda auger. DOMESTIC BREACHES AND CRIMINAL HARASSEMENT
Cornwall, ON- A 21 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 25th of September, 2011. He was bound by a Undertaking with the relevant conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to abstain from communicating with his 19 year-old ex-girlfriend. He was also bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 25th of September, 2011 he contacted his 19 year-old ex-girlfriend by phone as well by a letter. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Criminal Harassment, 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and Breach of Probation Order. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT & MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON- A 30 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 25th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 25th of September, 2011 he entered into an altercation with his 31 year-old girlfriend when he assaulted her and damaged a door. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and Mischief. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

BREAK & ENTER ARREST
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service were investigating a break and enter which occurred shortly after midnight on the 26th of September, 2011 at a Montreal Road Church. The suspect(s) gained entry by breaking a window and removing a flat screen television. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Chantal Dionne, 44 of Cornwall was arrested on the 26th of September, 2011. She was bound by a Recognizance with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. She was charged with Break & Enter and Breach of Recognizance. Rene Lang, 41 also from Cornwall was arrested and charged with Break & Enter. They were both held in custody until court the following day.
