The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:It is alleged that a male victim was stabbed by the 17 year-old youth. The stab victim was transported to the Cornwall Community Hospital McConnell site for treatment of minor injuries.

Cornwall - Sep. 27, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:

BREACH
Cornwall, ON- Erika Robin Kirkey, 35 of Cornwall was arrested on the 26th of September, 2011. She was bound by an Undertaking with the condition not to operate a motor vehicle until further order of the court. It is alleged that on the 26th of September, 2011 she was observed by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service Patrol Division to be operating an E-Bike. She was charged with Breach of Undertaking and released to appear in court on the 11th of October, 2011.

ROBBERY, ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, BREACHES AND DANGEROUS WEAPON
Cornwall, ON- Cory Benedict, 30 of Cornwall and a 17 year-old Cornwall youth were arrested on the 26th of September, 2011. It is alleged that at approximately 8:00 p.m. on this date they approached two 19 year-old males, assaulted them and removed a digital camera from one of the victims. It is also alleged that the other male victim was stabbed by the 17 year-old youth. The stab victim was transported to the Cornwall Community Hospital McConnell site for treatment of minor injuries.

Police conducted an investigation and as a result, Cory Benedict was charged with Assault and Robbery with Violence. He was also charged with Breach of Probation as he was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and Good Behaviour. He was released to appear in court on the 11th of October, 2011.

The 17 year-old youth was charged with Assault with a Weapon and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose. He was also charged with Breach of Probation and Breach of Undertaking as he was bound by a Youth Criminal Justice Act Probation Order, with the conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. The youth was held until court on September 27, 2011. His name was not releases as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

FRAUD UNDER $5000.00
Cornwall, ON- Gisele Dumond, 29 of Cornwall was arrested on the 26th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 5th of July, 2011 she uttered a fraudulent cheque at a local store. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. She was charged with Fraud Under $5000.00 and released to appear in court on the 11th of October, 2011.
