Cornwall Police Service: Official Media Release - June 15, 2011
The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service: Guylaine McKenzie, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on the 14th of June, 2011 following a theft investigation. Robert Armand Thibeault, 27, of No Fixed Address was arrested on the 14th of June, 2011 following an altercation.

Cornwall - Jun. 15, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service:

THEFT UNDER and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. - A 19 year-old male from Cornwall was arrested on the 14th of June, 2011 following a theft investigation. The male was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. On the previous day, it is alleged that he stole property from a family member. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. On the 14th of June, the male was located at the family member’s residence by police and arrested for 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00 and 1 count of Breach of Probation. The stolen property was recovered. The male’s identity is not released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. - A 50 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 14th of June, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. An investigation by police revealed that on or about June 6th, the male grabbed his 49 year-old common-law spouse by the face. On the 14th of June, it is further alleged that the male struck her in the upper back area. The victim did not require medical attention for either assault. As a result of the allegations, the male was arrested for 2 counts of Assault and held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

FRAUD
Cornwall, Ont. - A 46 year-old female and a 40 year-old female, both of Cornwall, turned themselves into police following a fraud investigation. On November 27th, 2010 it is alleged that the 46 year-old female unlawfully applied for a credit card in her ex-husband’s name. It is alleged that the female obtained the card fraudulently and made purchases with it. Police also allege that the 40 year old female also took advantage of the credit and made purchases with the card. As a result of the investigation, the 46 year-old female is facing 1 count each of Utter forged documents, Personation, Fraud Over $5,000.00, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Obtain Credit by Fraud. The 40 year-old female is facing 1 count of Fraud Over $5,000.00 and 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Their names are not being released. They are scheduled to appear in court on their respective charges.

THEFT and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. - Guylaine McKenzie, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on the 14th of June, 2011 following a theft investigation. She was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that she entered a Water Street East grocery store and stole merchandise. She was detained by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer until the arrival of a member of Community Patrol. She was arrested for 1 count of Theft Under $5,000 and 1 count of Breach of Probation. She was released and is scheduled to appear in court on the 21st of June, 2011 to answer to the charges.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. - Robert Armand Thibeault, 27, of No Fixed Address was arrested on the 14th of June, 2011 following an altercation. The male was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that he engaged in an argument with another male at which time he struck him with a beer bottle. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. The male was arrested for 1 count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm, 1 count of Assault with a Weapon and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was released to appear in court at a later date.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Cornwall, Ont. - The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a 4-door, blue 2000 Volvo S80 from a Gerald Street driveway on June 14th, 2011 at approximately 11:30 p.m. If you have any information regarding the theft of this vehicle, please contact the Service at (613) 932-2110.

BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, Ont. - The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred sometime between 09:30 pm on the 14th of June and shortly after midnight the following morning at a First Street East apartment. The suspect(s) gained access to the apartment by a south side window. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a Brava black screen television.
