Cornwall Police Service: Official Media Release - June 24, 2011
The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service: Paul Darnel Emond, 49 of Cornwall was charged with possession of marihuana, possession of cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking marihuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine along with possession of property obtained by crime being the money seized.

Cornwall - Jun. 24, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service:

DRUGS
Cornwall, ON - Members of the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit executed a drug search warrant shortly after 3:30 p.m. on the 23rd of June, 2011 at a Pacific Avenue residence and business. As a result of the investigation a male was arrested when he was allegedly found to be in the possession of controlled substances. The total value of seized drugs and other offence related property is estimated at over $3300.

Paul Darnel Emond, 49 of Cornwall was charged with possession of marihuana, possession of cocaine, possession for the purpose of trafficking marihuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine along with possession of property obtained by crime being the money seized. The man was released to appear in court on the 14th of July, 2011.

Cornwall, ON - Ryan Justin Hall, 28 of Cornwall was arrested on the 24th of June, 2011. It is alleged that on the 24th of June 2011 shortly after 1:00 a.m., he was located walking on Eleventh Street and appeared to be intoxicated. Further investigation revealed that he allegedly was found to be in the possession of a controlled substances believed to be marijuana. He was charged with Possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and later released to appear in court on the 14th of July, 2011 to answer to the charge.

BREACHES, MISCHIEF & RESIST ARREST
Cornwall, ON - A 43 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 23rd of June, 2011. He was bound by a Justice of the Peace Recognizance with the pertinent conditions to notify Cornwall Police within 24 hours of any change of address in writing, not to attend a certain address and not to be within 50 meters of a certain person. It is alleged that on the 23rd of June, 2011, he attended the said person’s residence, had contact with them and failed to notify police of his change of address. Upon his arrest, the male resisted arrest and broke the wiper blade of the police vehicle. He was charged with 3 counts of Fail to comply of Recognizance, Mischief and resist arrest. He was held in custody until court the following day.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON - A 31 year-old Cornwall female was arrested on the 23rd of June, 2011. It is alleged that she entered into an altercation with her 30 year-old ex-husband when she assaulted him. Police were contacted and a investigation followed. She was charged with Domestic Assault and released to appear in court on the 17th of July, 2011, to answer to the charge. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON - A 16 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 23rd of June, 2011. It is alleged that on the 10th of April, 2011 she damaged her ex-boyfriends vehicle. She was charged with Mischief Under $5000.00. She was released to an adult and it to appear in court on the 18th of August, 2011 to answer to the charge. Her name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH
Cornwall, ON - John Douglas Mellon, 24 of Cornwall was arrested on the 24th of June, 2011. He was bound by an Officer in Charge Undertaking with the pertinent conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol and to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged that on the 24th of June, 2011, he was located at a local establishment and had consumed alcohol. He was charged with 2 counts of Breach of Officer in Charge Undertaking and held in custody until court the following day.
