The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service: Patrick Victor Fraser, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on the 29th of June, 2011 following a shoplifting incident.

Cornwall - Jun. 30, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service:

THEFT UNDER $5,000.00 and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. - Patrick Victor Fraser, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on the 29th of June, 2011 following a shoplifting incident. The male was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that he entered a Second Street East department store and stole merchandise. He was apprehended by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and detained until the arrival of a member of Community Patrol. He is facing 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00 and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was released to appear in court on the 02nd of August, 2011 to answer to the charges.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. - A 20 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 29th of June, 2011 following a criminal harassment investigation. The male was bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that since March 18th, 2011 the male had been making continuous contact with his 19 year-old ex-girlfriend by telephone, text messaging and attempts at speaking with in person. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing 1 count of Criminal Harassment and 1 count of Breach of Probation. He was released to appear in court on the 19th of July, 2011 to answer to the charges. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, THEFT OVER $5,000.00, BREACHES, DANGEROUS OPERATION and WEAPONS
Cornwall, Ont. - Three Cornwall males were arrested in the early hours of June 30th, 2011. Police allege that the 3 males were in possession of a stolen vehicle and were observed by members of Community Patrol operating the motor vehicle in a dangerous manner in the east end of the city. The operator and passengers exited the vehicle upon seeing police and fled the area. All three males were located in the vicinity and arrested. .

As a result of the investigation:

Jordan John MacDonald, 19, is facing with 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, 1 count of Theft Over $5,000.00, 1 count of Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon (knife) and 1 count of Breach of Probation for Failing to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.

Mark David Munro, 21, is facing 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, 1 count of Theft Over $5,000.00 and 1 count of Breach of Probation for Failing to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour..

A 17 year-old male is facing 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, 1 count of Theft Over $5,000.00, 1 count of Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and 1 count of Breach of Undertaking for Failing to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. His name is not being released due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

They were held in custody until court on the 30th of June, 2011.
