Local bands showcased at Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off
Lamoureux Park will definitely be "rockin" during the 15th Annual Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off hot air balloon and waterfront festival. The Lost Boyz, Graham Greer, Winston Marley and Melanie and the General Electryk are just some of the local bands to be showcased at this year's balloon festival!

Cornwall - Jul. 6, 2011 - Lamoureux Park will definitely be "rockin" during the 15th Annual Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off hot air balloon and waterfront festival. Over the past few years, Lift-Off has become the "can't miss" event for Cornwall and region, looked forward to with great anticipation.

"Every year, we strive to surpass the previous year", said Festival Chair Judi Auger. "The Festival Board has once again worked extremely hard to bring great entertainment to the Lift-Off stage, and plenty of activity to Lamoureux Park throughout the day. The addition of the Seniors Bingo, The Minute To Win It contest, and the creation of the Family Zone, will certainly add to the family atmosphere of the festival."

The Final Schedule for the Lift Off Stage will certainly appeal to a wide range of tastes in music, and all promise to be great entertainment.

This year, Kinsmen Cornwall Lift-Off is once again selling bracelets as the official Lift-Off entry pass. The prices for 2011 are $30 for a full weekend pass or $15 per evening. Children aged 12 and under who are accompanied by an adult attend free of charge. The 2011 Lift-Off weekend passes are now on sale at the Cornwall Square Customer Service Centre, Computer Sense, Scotiabank, Your Credit Union and Cornwall & Seaway Valley Tourism. Cornwall Lift-Off was founded in 1994 and has since hosted back-to-back Canadian National Hot Air Balloon Championships in 1996 and 1997. The success of the festival has grown considerably from its modest beginnings in 1994. The 2011 festival welcomes 25 hot air balloon teams, the Homenuik Carnival, fireworks, a new Family Zone, the and great musical entertainment.
