The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service: Bruce Oscar Ceasor, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on the 05th of July, 2011 following the theft of a motor vehicle investigation.

Cornwall - Jul. 11, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service:

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Cornwall, Ont. - Bruce Oscar Ceasor, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on the 05th of July, 2011 following the theft of a motor vehicle investigation. It is alleged that sometime before June 8th, 2011 the male stole a motor vehicle and sold it for parts. The abandoned vehicle was located at a Morrisburg property and an investigation resulted in the male’s arrest. He is facing 1 count of Vehicle Theft and is scheduled to appear in court on the 16th of August, 2011 to answer to the charge.

BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. - James Ryan MacFarlane, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on the 07th of July, 2011 for breaching his conditions. He was bound by 2 separate Probation Orders with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Abstain from the consumption of alcohol. On the 07th of July, police were contacted to attend a Carleton Street residence regarding a disturb the peace complaint. Police located the male who was found to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result, he was arrested for 2 counts of Breach of Probation and later released.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. - A 47 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 08th of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that during an argument with his 44 year-old wife, he slapped her across the face and threatened to cause her bodily harm. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. The male is facing 1 count of Assault and 1 count of Utter Threat to Cause Bodily Harm. He was held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

WARRANT
Cornwall, Ont. - Dwight Duncan Poitras, 56, of Cornwall turned himself into police on the 08th of July, 2011. On the previous day, it is alleged that the male failed to attend court and a warrant was requested. He was held in custody until court later that day.

FRAUD
Cornwall, Ont. - Wes Nichol, 20, of Cornwall turned himself into police on the 08th of July, 2011 following a fraud investigation. On five separate occasions during the month of June, it is alleged that the male deposited empty envelopes into an automatic teller machine and made withdrawals. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. As a result, the male is facing 5 counts of Fraud Under $5,000.00 and he is scheduled to appear in court on the 26th of July, 2011 to answer to the charges.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, Ont. - Ryan Oakes, 30, of Hogansburg New York was arrested on the 08th of July, 2011 while entering Canada through the Cornwall point of entry. The male was bound by a Recognizance Order with conditions to Abstain from the possession of alcohol and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that the male was in possession of alcohol when he entered Cornwall. He was detained by a member of the Canada Border Services Agency until the arrival of a member of Community Patrol. He is facing 2 counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court.

THEFT UNDER $5,000.00
Cornwall, Ont. - Jason A. Tyo, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on the 08th of July, 2011 following a shoplifting incident. It is alleged that he entered a Water Street East grocery store and stole merchandise. He was arrested by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and detained until the arrival of a member of Community Patrol. He is facing 1 count of Theft Under $5,000.00 and is scheduled for court on the 16th of August, 2011.

DRUGS and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. - On the 09th of July, 2011 the Cornwall Community Police Service Street Crime Unit began an investigation in relation to street level drug trafficking in the east end of the City. As a result of a vehicle stop, a quantity of drugs, believed to be Oxycodone and marijuana were seized. The total value of the drugs and other offence related property is estimated at over $2,547.00.

As a result of the investigation:

Joshua Zachary, 19, of Kanawake Quebec was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1 count of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and 2 counts of Breach of Probation for Being Found in the Possession of a Controlled Substance and for Failing to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. He was released to appear in court on the 02nd of August, 2011 to answer to the charges.

MISCHIEF and DRUGS
Cornwall, Ont. - Brandon Dupuis, 20, of Cornwall was arrested in the early hours of July 9th, 2011. It is alleged that while under the influence of alcohol, he caused mischief to property on Pitt Street. Police were contacted and the male was located in possession of drugs, believed to be marijuana. The male is facing 2 counts of Mischief Under $5,000.00 and 1 count Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was released to appear in court at a later date.

IMPAIRED OPERATION and OVER 80
Cornwall, Ont. - Gordon Dale Liezert, 21, of Brinston was arrested in the early hours of July 9th, 2011. It is alleged that he operated a motor vehicle on Vincent Massey Drive while under the influence of alcohol. The male was arrested for Impaired Operation and transported for further testing which resulted in a charge of Over .80. He was released to appear in court on the 16th of August, 2011 to answer to the charges.

ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. - Two 14 year-old Cornwall females were arrested on the 09th of July, 2011 following a physical altercation with another 14 year-old female. It is alleged that the females punched and kicked the victim and further threatened to kill her. Both females are facing 1 count of Assault and one female is further facing 1 count of Utter a Death Threat. They were released to appear in court at a later date to answer to their respective charges. Their names are withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice and to protect the identity of the victim.

BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, Ont. - Matthieu Edmond Brunet, 19, of Cornwall was arrested in the early hours of July 10th, 2011 for breaching his conditions. He was bound by an Undertaking Order with conditions to Notify the Cornwall Community Police Service of any change of address and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. Police learned through a routine traffic stop, that the male had failed to notify of the change of address. As a result, the male is facing 2 counts of Breach of Undertaking and was released to appear in court on the 16th of August, 2011 to answer to the charges.

ASSAULT and THREATS
Cornwall, Ont. - A 26 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 10th of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that sometime between January 1st and the 7th, the male grabbed his 34 year-old ex common-law spouse by the arm causing an injury. It is also further alleged that sometime between February 1st and the 09th of July, the male had been uttering threats to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. As a result, the male is facing 1 count of Assault and 1 count of Utter Death Threat. He was held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

IMPAIRED OPERATION and OVER 80
Cornwall, Ont. - Barbara Lafrance, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on the 10th of July, 2011. It is alleged that she operated a motor vehicle on Ninth Street East while under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and transported for further testing which resulted in a charge of Over .80. She was released to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charges.

BREACHES and TRANSPORTATION FRAUD
Cornwall, Ont. - Mary Ann Cecelia Jackson, 46, of No Fixed Address was arrested on the 10th of July, 2011 for breaching her conditions. She was bound by a Recognizance Order and a Probation Order with the following conditions: To reside at a specific location, to Not attend within 100 meters of a specified male’s residence, to Abide by a curfew, To Abstain from the consumption of alcohol, to Not attend the City of Cornwall except for court and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that the female got in a taxi and failed to pay for her fare. The female fled the area on foot, police were contacted and an investigation commenced. A search for the female resulted in her location and it is alleged that she was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Further investigation revealed that she was no longer residing at the specified address and she had been taken by taxi to the male’s residence. As a result, the female is facing 5 counts of Breach of Recognizance, 2 counts of Breach of Probation and 1 count of Transportation Fraud. She was held in custody until court.

ASSAULT and MISCHIEF
Cornwall, Ont. - A 42 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 10th of July, 2011. It is alleged that during an argument with a 44 year-old female, he punched her. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. It is further alleged that he caused damage to a glass window insert at a First Street East residence. Police were contacted and the male was arrested for 1 count of Assault and 1 count of Mischief Under $5,000.00. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.
