OPP make arrest during Project Paradigm in Carleton Place
On July 11th 2011, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau - Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) - Project Paradigm, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit (K-9), as well as Carleton Place OPP Detachment members executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) warrant at a Grant St., Carleton Place address.

Carleton Place - Jul. 15, 2011 - On July 11th 2011, members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau - Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) - Project Paradigm, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Canine Unit (K-9), as well as Carleton Place OPP Detachment members executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA) warrant at a Grant St., Carleton Place address.

Police seized percocets and oxycontin pills from the address as well as money.

The projected street value of the seized drugs is estimated at approximately $800.00

Charged with one count of possession of schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of schedule one substance and breach of probation was Jesse James MacDonald, 34 years old of Carleton Place. Charges are to be laid against a second person.

The accused was released from custody on a Promise to Appear and Undertaking given to an Officer in Charge. They are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice of Ontario in Perth, ON on 22 August 2011.
