Cornwall Police Service: Official Media Release - July 20, 2011
The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service: Mickey J. Delormier, 21, of Akwesasne was arrested on the 19th of July, 2011 for breaching his conditions. He was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to report to the Cornwall Community Police Service.

Cornwall - Jul. 20, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service:

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, Ont. - Mickey J. Delormier, 21, of Akwesasne was arrested on the 19th of July, 2011 for breaching his conditions. He was bound by a Recognizance Order with a condition to report to the Cornwall Community Police Service every Monday between specific hours. On the 18th of July, it is alleged that the male failed to report. The male attended police headquarters and was arrested for one count of Breach of Recognizance. He was released to appear in court on the 13th of September, 2011 to answer to the charge.

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, Ont. - A 14 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 19th of July, 2011. Police attended a Yates Avenue residence to investigate the theft of a bicycle. Upon completing the report, the member of Community Patrol searched the area and located the youth riding the stolen bicycle. The youth was arrested for one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was released to the custody of a parent and is scheduled to appear in court on the 18th of August, 2011 to answer to the charge. His name is withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DOMESTIC ASSAULTS, THREATS and INTIMIDATION
Cornwall, Ont. - A 43 year-old male, of No Fixed Address, was arrested on the 19th of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance at a west end residence. It is alleged that sometime in May and on three separate occasions during the month of July, the male assaulted his 33 year-old common-law spouse by grabbing her, pulling her hair, threatening to kill her and intimidating her. Police were contacted and information was gathered. As a result, the male is facing three counts of Assault, two counts of Assault with a Weapon, one count of Utter Death threats and one count of Intimidation. The male was held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, Ont. - The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred sometime between 06:00 pm and 10:30 pm. on the 19th of July, 2011 at a Marguerite d’Youville apartment. The suspect(s) gained entry into the apartment through an unlocked door. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a red Wii console and controllers, a “Cars” video game and an i-Pod touch.
