St. Raphael's - Jul. 24, 2011 - Hundreds of area residents came out on a great Sunday afternoon to enjoy the music and activities at the 35th Annual St. Raphael’s Galarama. Organizers were hopeful that close to $16,000.00 would be raised in support of their local parish.

There was a full Entertainment Program which included the Brigadoons, the Murray Dancers, Neil Emberg, Alp-Horn Players, MacLeod Fiddlers, the MacCulloch Dancers, Sonny Best Band, the Glengarry Massed Fiddlers, Ashely MacLeod and a Fridge Full of Empties.

There was a 50/50 and a Silent Auction. In the Silent Auction were Ottawa Senators tickets, a weekend at the Westin Resort in Mont Tremblant, MacEwen’s Gas Card, Golf Green Fees amongst many other very nice prizes.

There was a licensed Beer Garden on site, a Kiddies Corner, a full canteen and many games of chance. It was anticipated that over 800 area residents would take part in the afternoon’s festivities.

The photos below include the Brigadoons, the Fish Pond, a group of competitive dancers from the SD&G Highland Dance Association, and a photo of one of the walls of the Ruins. The group of dancers was comprised of the Coleman, Cameron and Murray schools of dance, all of whom gathered together to show their support for this worthy fundraiser.
