Busy weekend for members of the Cornwall Police Service
The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service: A 46 year-old male and a 45 year-old female, both of Cornwall, were arrested on the 21st of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance. The couple were bound by their respective Undertaking Orders with conditions to Not communicate with each other.

Cornwall - Jul. 25, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Community Police Service:

DOMESTIC ASSAULT and BREACH
Cornwall, Ont. - A 46 year-old male and a 45 year-old female, both of Cornwall, were arrested on the 21st of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance. The couple were bound by their respective Undertaking Orders with conditions to Not communicate with each other. The female was further bound by a condition of no alcohol. The female was also bound by a Probation Order with a condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. During an argument, it is alleged that the female assaulted the male by grabbing him in the groin area. It is also alleged that the female caused damage to household property. The victim required medical attention for his injury. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the arrest of both parties. The male is facing one count of Breach of Undertaking and he appeared in court on the 22nd of July, 2011. The female is facing two counts of Breach of Undertaking, one count of Breach of Probation, one count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and one count of Mischief Under $5,000.00. She appeared in court on the 22nd of July, 2011. Their names are not being released.

FRAUD UNDER $5,000.00
Cornwall, Ont. - Johnathan Bernard, 24, of Alexandria was arrested on the 22nd of July, 2011. It is alleged that he entered a Second Street East department store and placed an item in his shopping cart. Police allege that the male then attended the Customer Service area to make a return on the item in his cart. The male was intercepted by the store’s Loss Prevention Officer and detained until the arrival of a member of Community Patrol. He is facing one count of Fraud Under $5,000.00 and he is scheduled to appear in court on the 16th of August, 2011 to answer to the charge.

ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. - A 59 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 22nd of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that during an argument with his 59 year-old girlfriend, he slapped her. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in his arrest. He is facing one count of Assault and was held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

DRUGS
Cornwall, Ont. - Jonathan David Durand, 19, of Glen Robertson was arrested on the 23rd of July, 2011. Police located the male operating a motor vehicle eastbound on Second Street East and intercepted the vehicle on Boundary Road. Police located drugs, believed to be marijuana inside the motor vehicle. The male was charged accordingly and he is scheduled to appear in court on the 06th of September, 2011 to answer to the charge.

ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. - A 28 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 23rd of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that during an argument with his 21 year-old girlfriend, he grabbed her by the hair and punched her in the back of the head. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. The male is facing one count of Assault and he was held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

BREAK AND ENTER
Cornwall, Ont. - The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred sometime between 06:00 and 07:00 pm on the 21st of July, 2011 through an unlocked door in the 500 block of Montreal Road. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole prescription medication. If you have any information regarding this break and enter, please contact the Service at (613) 932-2110.

BREACH and ASSAULT A PEACE OFFICER
Cornwall, Ont. - Ahshellla Sara Huxtable, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of July, 2011 for breaching her conditions. She was bound by a Conditional Sentence Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Abstain from the consumption, purchase or possession of alcohol. Police attended the area of Eleventh Street West and located the female under the influence of alcohol. Police further allege that the female spat on one of the officers. As a result, the female was arrested for Breach of Conditional Sentence Order and one count of Assault a Peace Officer. She was held in custody until court.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, Ont. - Mark David Munro, 21, of Cornwall was arrested on the 23rd of July, 2011 for breaching his conditions. He was bound by a Recognizance Order with conditions to Not Associate, communicate directly or indirectly with a specific male, to Not associate with anyone known to have a Criminal Record and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. Police attended Rotary Lane to respond to an unwanted persons’ complaint. It is alleged that the male was located in the company of the prescribed male and further found to be in the company of other males who have criminal records. As a result, the male was arrested for three counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court.

BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE and BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, Ont. - A 19 year-old male, from Orleans, was arrested on the 23rd of July, 2011 for breaching his conditions. He was bound by a Probation Order and a Recognizance Order with conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and to Abstain from communicating directly or indirectly with a specific male. Police attended Rotary Lane to respond to an unwanted persons’ complaint. Police allege that they located the male in the company of the proscribed male. As a result, he was arrested for one count of Breach of Probation and two counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody until court. His name is not being released due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT and BREACH OF UNDERTAKING
Cornwall, Ont. - A 44 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 23rd of July, 2011 following a domestic disturbance investigation. It is alleged that during an argument with his 47 year-old common-law, he pulled her hair and then pushed her. The victim did not require medical attention for her injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation resulted in the male facing one count of Assault and one count of Breach of Undertaking. The male was held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

ASSAULT
Cornwall, Ont. - A 25 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 23rd of July, 2011 for Assault. It is alleged that during an argument with his 21 year-old girlfriend, the male pulled her hair, slapped her and pushed her down. The victim did not require medical attention at the time of the incident. Police were contacted and the male was charged accordingly. He was held in custody until court. His name is not being released as it may identify the victim in this incident.

ASSAULT and BREACHES
Cornwall, Ont. - A 19 year-old Cornwall male was arrested on the 24th of July, 2011 following an investigation. The male was bound by a Probation Order with conditions to Notify the Cornwall Community Police Service of any change of address, to Abstain from the consumption of alcohol and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. On the offence date, it is alleged that during an argument with his father, he pushed him down to the ground causing an injury to his head. The victim required medical attention for his injury. Police were contacted and an investigation commenced. The male was arrested for one count of Assault Causing Bodily Harm and three counts of Breach of Probation. He was held in custody until court. His name is not being released.
