Cornwall - Aug. 8, 2011 - Members of the Seaway Cultural Arts Committee (formerly called the Cornwall Cultural Committee) are attending the City Council meeting this Monday August 8th at 7pm. We encourage all artists in our community to attend this City Hall Meeting. After the meeting Rodney Rivette and others will be hosting a press conference to local media supporting the resolution that a committee review the Cultural Plan in detail and to volunteer the services of SCAC members to be on that committee. We believe that it is necessary to have a diverse group of artists who are active in our community on such a committee to help move this process forward.

Rodney Rivette is calling out to all artists, "We need you at City Hall tomorrow at 7pm if you are interested in the building of a cultural arts center. We will be talking to the media after the City Council meeting to try to rally support. There is strength in numbers. We need as many people there as possible. The message will be clear. Hear us, it's time to give the arts and culture community their fair share."
