Cornwall - Aug. 22, 2011 - Mark A. MacDonald, Liberal Candidate for Stormont - Dundas - South Glengarry announced today the second of his “Three Local Pillars” for the upcoming provincial election.

“Jobs-jobs-jobs, growing the local economy and creating an environment for employment is my second pillar” MacDonald stated, “if you look at all the activity on Boundary Rd. and 401 you will see that Jim Brownell and the Ontario Liberals have done their part to make sure that the roads and overpasses are safe and in place,” he went on to say.

“New distribution centres will provide our young people with some major opportunities for employment,” MacDonald said, “and this is just the beginning. When the dust settles S-D-SG will be the logistic hub of eastern Canada,” he stated.

The PC’s have a $14 billion dollar hole in their platform and that means deep cuts to health care and education putting our progress at risk and taking the economy off track.

Ontario is a global leader in the clean energy industry and we are going after every possible investment that will create new jobs. “The future is the green economy and Ontario is attracting new investment and creating thousands of good jobs. We are doing our part to reduce emissions that cause global warming.” MacDonald said.

“When you look around at other economies of the world, it’s clear that Ontario is in a much better place and it drives home the fact that we are on the right track,” MacDonald stated.

MacDonald used his YouTube channel to announce his second pillar which can be seen here:
