Cornwall Police Blotter for August 31, September 1 and 2
The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service: A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 29th of August, 2011. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour.

Cornwall - Sep. 2, 2011 - The following is an official media release and/or announcement from the Cornwall Police Service:

THEFT & BREACH
Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 29th of August, 2011. The youth was bound by a Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. The youth was also bound by a second Probation Order with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. The youth was bound by an Undertaking with the relevant condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Bahviour. It is alleged that on the 28th of August, 2011 the youth stole a ring from another group home resident. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The youth was charged with Theft Under $5000.00, breach of Probation Order and Breach of Undertaking. The youth was held in custody until court the following day. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT
Cornwall, ON- Drew Dalton Jacobs, 22 of Akwesasne was arrested on the 29th of August, 2011 under the strength of two outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on the 10th and on the 16th of May 2011 he failed to attend court and a warrants were issued. He was located and held in custody until court the following day.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 27 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 29th of August, 2011. It is alleged that on the 29th of August, 2011 he entered into an altercation with his 23 year-old common-law wife when he assaulted her and prevented her from leaving the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged Domestic Assault and Forcible Confinement. The victim was not injured. The male was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

DOMESTIC THREATS & ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 27 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 30th of August, 2011. It is alleged that since the beginning of June 2011 he had been harassing and threatening his 26 year-old ex-girlfriend by sending her numerous text messages, calling her residence and employment. Police were contacted and an investigation followed at which time it was revealed that he allegedly assaulted her on the 6th of August, 2011. He was charged with Uttering threats to damage property, Assault and Criminal Harassment. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 27th of August, 2011 and the 29th of August 2011 at a Lefebvre Avenue residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by kicking in the front door and proceeded into the residence. No items were stolen. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between the 28th of August, 2011 at a Brookdale Avenue residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by a window and proceeded to steal a pair of black Taka-Oakley glasses, Oakley glasses, a silver rope chain, 12 DVD’s, Money, a black Acer laptop and 10 XBOX games. THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating the theft of a 2000 Chrysler Neon purple in colour from a fourteenth Street address sometime between the afternoon of the 28th of August 2011 and the morning hours of on the following day. ATTEMPT THEFT & BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, ON- A 15 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 30th of August, 2011. The youth was bound by two Probation Orders, the first with the conditions to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour and not to associate directly or indirectly with a certain person. The second Probation Order had the relevant condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 3rd of August, 2011 the youth was observed by a member of the Cornwall Community Police Service- Street Crime Unit to enter a vehicle and attempt theft. The youth was charged with Attempt theft and 3 counts of breach of Probation Order. The youth was released to an adult to appear in court on the 15th of Aeptember, 2011. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREAK & ENTER
Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred between midnight and 5:00 a.m. on the 30th of August, 2011 at a Meadowvale Crescent garage. The suspect(s) gained entry to the garage by an unlocked door and proceeded to steal a black Giovanni 100CC mini All Terrain Vehicle, a Atolis battery pack and a fish finder. Cornwall, ON- The Cornwall Community Police Service is investigating a break and enter which occurred on the 30th of August, 2011 at a First Street residence. The suspect(s) gained entry by opening a window and unlocking the side door. They proceeded to steal money and several DVD’s. BREACH OF RECOGNIZANCE
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on the 31st of August, 2011. The youth was bound by a Recognizance with the condition to sign in at the Cornwall Community Police Service Headquarters every Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. It is alleged that the youth failed to attend between the assigned times. He was charged with Breach of Recognizance and released to an adult to appear in court on the 15th of September, 2011. The youth’s name was not released as per provision under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT & THREATS
Cornwall, ON- A 43 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 1st of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 12th of August, 2011 the man entered into an altercation with his girlfriend’s daughters 19 year-old boyfriend when he assaulted and threaten him. The victim did not suffer any injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. The man was charged with Assault and Utter to Cause Bodily Harm. He was released to appear in court on the 13th of September, 2011. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in this incident.

IMPAIRED OPERATION & OVER .80
Cornwall, ON- Charles Cole, 42 of Cornwall was arrested in the early hours of September 1st, 2011. It is alleged that he operated a motor vehicle on Ellen Street while under the influence of alcohol. The was male was charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle and transported for further testing which resilted in a charge of Over .80. He was released to appear in court on the 13th of September, 2011 to answer to the charges.
