Eamers Corners students to participate in Pinwheels for Peace
On Wednesday, September 21, during International Day of Peace, when a group of Girl Guides visits Eamer’s Corners Public School and, with the help of students, installs pinwheels on the front lawn of the school. The Girl Guides and students will be planting the pinwheels on Tuesday by the end of the school day or before class starts on Wednesday morning.

Cornwall - Sep. 14, 2011 - On Wednesday, September 21, during International Day of Peace, when a group of Girl Guides visits Eamer’s Corners Public School and, with the help of students, installs pinwheels on the front lawn of the school.

The Girl Guides and students will be planting the pinwheels on Tuesday by the end of the school day or before class starts on Wednesday morning. The pinwheels will be displayed throughout the day on Wednesday and removed that evening.

The 17th Cornwall Unit of Girl Guides has participated in Pinwheels for Peace for at least seven years to help spread the message of peace. Throughout the years, the Guides have made pinwheels and displayed them in various places in and around Cornwall.

Planting will take place Tuesday, September 20 throughout the day, and Wednesday, September 21 before classes. The pinwheels will be on display throughout the day on Wednesday.

Eamer’s Corners Public School is located at 2258 Pitt Street, Cornwall, Ontario
