OPP lay assault charges in Morewood

The following is an official media release from the Ontario Provincial Police:On 26 Sept 11, at approximately 2:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an assault on Moffat St, Morewood On. The investigation revealed that two males were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in one of the males assaulting the other.

ASSAULT
On 26 Sept 11, at approximately 2:00pm, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of an assault on Moffat St, Morewood On.

The investigation revealed that two males were involved in a verbal altercation that resulted in one of the males assaulting the other.

A 21yr old male (Joshua HOOPER of Morewood) was arrested and faces a charge of:

- Assault

He is scheduled to appear 01 Nov 11 in Morrisburg court.

THEFT
(South Glengarry) - On 27 Sept 11, at approximately 11:30am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a theft on Fraser Road, South Glengarry Township.

The investigation revealed that sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) attended a residence and removed a 90hp Johnson outboard motor.

The investigation is ongoing.
