Cornwall Police Blotter September 29
The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service: It is alleged that the 56 year-old man entered into an altercation with his 49 year-old girlfriend when her 22 year-old son intervened. As a resulted, they assaulted each other with a bat.

Cornwall - Sep. 29, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Cornwall Police Service:

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME
Cornwall, ON- Michael Tessier, 58 of Cornwall was arrested on the 28th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 26th of September, 2011 he was found to be in possession of property which was reported stolen. He was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and released to appear in court on the 11th of October, 2011.

ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON- A 17 year-old Long Sault youth was arrested on the 28th of September, 2011. It is alleged that he entered into an altercation with an 18 year-old male and assaulted him. The victim was not injuried. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Assault and released to appear in court on the 13th of October, 2011 to answer to the charge.

BREACHES
Cornwall, ON- Lynn Pyper, 36 of Ottawa was arrested on the 28th of September, 2011. She was bound by an Undertaking with the condition to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 21st of September, 2011 she failed to attend for fingerprints. She was located and charged with Fail to Appear and breach of Undertaking. She was held in custody to appear in court the following day.

Cornwall, ON- Christopher Riviere, 26 of Cornwall was arrested on the 28th of September, 2011. He was bound by an Undertaking with the conditions not to communicate with a certain female, not to consume alcohol. He was also bound by a second Undertaking with the conditions to not communicate with a certain female, not to consume alcohol and to Keep the Peace and be of Good Behaviour. It is alleged that on the 22nd of September, 2011 he failed to attend for fingerprints. He was located in the company of the said female and under the influence of alcohol. He was charged accordingly and held in custody until court the following day.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT & MISCHIEF
Cornwall, ON- A 35 year-old Cornwall man was arrested on the 28th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 24th of September, 2011 he entered into an altercation with his 36 year-old wife when he assaulted her and caused damage to a wall. The victim was not injured. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. He was charged with Domestic Assault and Mischief. He was held in custody until court the following day. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the incident.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON
Cornwall, ON- A 56 year-old man and a 22 year-old man both of Cornwall were arrested on the 28th of September, 2011. It is alleged that on the 28th of September, 2011 the 56 year-old man entered into an altercation with his 49 year-old girlfriend when her 22 year-old son intervened. As a resulted, they assaulted each other with a bat. Both suffered minor injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation followed. Both males were charged with Assault with a weapon and released to appear in court on the 11th of October, 2011. The names were not released as it would identify the victim in the incident.
