Fire, Police Respond To Barn Fire In North Stormont
On October 16 at approximately 2:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a barn fire on Goldfield Road, North Stormont Township. Fire departments from Finch, Crysler, Avonmore, Moose Creek and Newington attended the scene and extinguished the blaze. The structure suffered severe damage and 2700 hogs were lost in the fire.

North Stormont - Oct. 17, 2011 - On October 16 at approximately 2:00am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a barn fire on Goldfield Road, North Stormont Township.

Fire departments from Finch, Crysler, Avonmore, Moose Creek and Newington attended the scene and extinguished the blaze. The structure suffered severe damage and 2700 hogs were lost in the fire.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office attended the scene and the fire has been ruled accidental in nature.
