Report Of Erratic Driver Leads To Charges
On October 26, at approximately 7:30pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of an erratic driver on Highway 401, South Stormont Township.

South Glengarry - Oct. 27, 2011 - The following is an official media release from the Ontario Provincial Police:

BREACHED CONDITIONS
(South Glengarry) - On October 27, at approximately 1:00am, SD&G OPP officers had occasion to conduct a traffic stop on Highway 401, South Glengarry Township.

The stop revealed that the 28yr old male driver (from Brampton, On) was found to be breaching his earlier release conditions.

He was arrested and faces charges of Fail to Comply with Undertaking or Recognizance (x4).

He was held in custody pending an appearance in Cornwall court.

IMPAIRED DRIVER
(South Glengarry) - On October 26, at approximately 7:30pm, SD&G OPP responded to a report of an erratic driver on Highway 401, South Stormont Township.

The vehicle was observed travelling east bound on Highway 401 and stopped in South Glengarry Township. The 30yr old male driver (Aleksei Karmanov of Vaudreuil, QC) was found to be operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

He was arrested and faces charges of Impaired Operation / Motor Vehicle, Exceed 80mgs / Motor Vehicle, and Possession Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana.

He is scheduled to appear November 2 in Alexandria court.
