Cornwall - November 24, 2011 - Make it just about 20 years in a row. That’s how long the City of Cornwall has been exhibiting at Canada’s largest real estate and property management tradeshow, PM EXPO.

“We will once again be showcasing Cornwall development opportunities to a wide range of attendees that include developers, real estate professionals and investors,” said Bob Peters, Senior Development Officer. “We typically meet a lot of people that are interested in learning more about the City, including people who are considering relocating.”

PM Expo takes place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, November 30 to December 2, 2011. The Cornwall Booth number is 1549.

Cornwall development opportunities will be exhibited at the show, including brownfield development sites, commercial buildings available for sale or lease and greenfield development sites in the Cornwall Business Park.

Cornwall has a number of advantages when it comes to building and development, not the least of which is the fact that the City does not have development charges. Each year, a number of Cornwall contractors and business professionals attend the show to learn about new products and best practices in their industry. Cornwall Economic Development provides free passes to the show for people interested in attending.

With over 1000 exhibits and a robust series of seminars that feature over 450 speakers, PM Expo typically attracts about 25,000 attendees. The Show is held concurrently with Construct Canada, HomeBuilder & Renovator Expo, Concrete Canada, DesignTrends and the National GreenBuilding Conference.

Cornwall Construction Activity
2011 is shaping up to be a very busy construction year in Cornwall, with building permit values expected to top $150 million. Major development projects currently underway include two major distribution centres, new commercial plazas, residential subdivisions, downtown revitalization projects, construction of a new international bridge and the redevelopment of the Cornwall Community Hospital.

Development Opportunities Brochure
These projects, and more, are profiled in a brochure entitled Development Opportunities in the City with a World of Possibilities. The brochure will be handed out at the show.
