Viscount Alexander Public School raises over $1,100 for United Way
The students and staff at Viscount Alexander Public School raised over $1,100 for the United Way by organizing and participating in a full week of fun activities at the school.

Cornwall - December 15, 2011 - The students and staff at Viscount Alexander Public School raised over $1,100 for the United Way by organizing and participating in a full week of fun activities at the school.

Connie Aikman, French teacher and fundraiser organizer, planned a number of fun events for students and staff to participate in, including a penny drive, popcorn day, Subway lunch, hat day and bubble gum day. All proceeds for each event went to United Way.

"I had to come up with some innovative ideas this year," she said. "I think everyone had a good time. There was something for everyone to participate in."
