Cornwall - February 23, 2012 - Optimist Park will be the venue for free food, games and fun on Sunday, February 26th during the third annual Optimist Club Family Day.

The Optimist Club of Cornwall is inviting everyone to join them for an afternoon of outdoor skating (weather permitting), arts and crafts and other indoor activities in the Bud Guilbeault Youth Centre at Optimist Park.

Hot dogs, hot chocolate and chips will also be served, and there will be random prizes handed out throughout the event.

“The Family Day is open to all youths of Cornwall to come out and enjoy a day of fun with friends and family,” said event organizer Anita Tremblay.

Now in its third year, the Optimist Club Family Day continues to grow bigger with each passing year.

“We expect to be even bigger and better this year,” said Mrs. Tremblay.

The event runs from 12:30pm to 4pm at Optimist Park, which is located at the intersection of Sunnyside Avenue and St. Michel Avenue.

The Optimist Club of Cornwall has been serving the community since 1948.
