Ingleside - May 15, 2012 - The Interact Club of Rothwell-Osnabruck School is presenting a Benefit Concert on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 7 to 9 p.m.
100% of proceeds will be donated to SOS Children’s Villages.
This idea came forth when Mrs. Hillier, a Secondary teacher and the Interact staff facilitator at Rothwell-Osnabruck School, and Interact Club students were taking part in the Cornwall Sunrise Rotary Club’s breakfast two weeks ago. The guest speaker, Tana Silverland, spoke passionately about her efforts biking across Canada to raise awareness and money for SOS Children’s Villages. The Interact Club members were so impressed by Tana’s dedication that they wanted to put together their own fundraising event at Rothwell-Osnabruck School. Sharon Miller is the Interact Club’s Rotary representative and works tirelessly supporting the club’s efforts. Sharon contacted SOS and Mrs. Hillier made the necessary arrangements for the concert.

The Interact Club members are now preparing for an amazing evening of diverse musical entertainment. Community members, staff, and current and former students will provide an array of vocal and instrumental acts that will delight everyone that comes out for the evening. There will be a Bake Sale, Book Sale, Movie Sale and even an Art Sale! Come out and enjoy a great evening while supporting a very worthwhile cause.
