Coast Guard searching for missing Connecticut swimmer

The Coast Guard is searching for a missing swimmer in Milford, Conn., Today. Missing is 40-year-old Brian Bakunas, who was last seen swimming near the Walnut Beach Pier shortly before 8 p.m. The reporting source lost site of Bakunas in the heavy surf.

New Haven - October 29, 2012 - The Coast Guard is searching for a missing swimmer in Milford, Conn., Today.

Missing is 40-year-old Brian Bakunas, who was last seen swimming near the Walnut Beach Pier shortly before 8 p.m. The reporting source lost site of Bakunas in the heavy surf.

The Coast Guard is urging the public to stay clear of beaches - Even the best swimmers can fall victim to the strong waves and rip currents caused by Hurricane Sandy.
