Coast Guard suspends search for missing Connecticut swimmer, Brian Bakunas

The Coast Guard suspended their active search for a missing swimmer in Milford, Conn., today. Deceased is 34-year-old Milford native Brian Bakunas, who was last seen swimming near the Walnut Beach Pier shortly before 8 p.m. Monday. The reporting source lost sight of Bakunas in the heavy surf.

Portsmouth - October 30, 2012 - The Coast Guard suspended their active search for a missing swimmer in Milford, Conn., today.

Deceased is 34-year-old Milford native Brian Bakunas, who was last seen swimming near the Walnut Beach Pier shortly before 8 p.m. Monday. The reporting source lost sight of Bakunas in the heavy surf.

A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station New Haven conducted a search of the area and were notified by Miliford Police Department that they had located the missing swimmer deceased.
