Wilkes-Barre Scranton - December 28, 2014 -

It was a better first period tonight for the WBS Penguins than it was last night as they took on the Norfolk Admirals. WBS coming off back to back shutouts looking for some retribution.

Conor Sheary lit the lamp for the Penguins breaking the six period bust for WBS and putting them up 1-0 over Norfolk. That would be all for the first period heading off the ice for the intermission leading 1-0.

Second period action was end to end Conor Sheary had a chance and Rowney had a chance but Lebarbera kept the Admirals within reach. Matt Murray doing a great job for WBS in net kept Norfolk out most of the period, but the Pens got caught on a line change the Admirals came with numbers and scored.

Heading off the ice at the end of the second it was all even at one each, Norfolk looking at :51 of power play left on LeBlonds rough to start the third period.

Boak and Kurtz do a little dance to start off the third period as tempers heat up both guys looking to spark a little reaction from their team.

WBS would be the one that got the spark as Nick Drezenovic would net one off of the post and into the goal making it a 2-1 WBS Penguin lead with still a lot of hockey to play.  Both squads would look for another goal WBS for some breathing room and Norfolk to even things up but Jason LaBarbera would do what he could to keep WBS from getting any more,, and Matt Murray would do the same to keeping the Pens in the lead.

That is where tonight's gamer would end the WBS Penguins snapping the scoreless stint beating the Norfolk Admirals 2-1.
