| StaffHometownHockey.ca Windsor - Mar. 15, 2023: At 16:58 of the second period against the Saginaw Spirit, captain Matthew Maggio of the Windsor Spitfires notched his 50th goal of the season. It was a beauty - coming in on a breakaway and going backhand, top shelf.
Maggio was the first Spitfire to hit the 50 goal plateau since Steve Ott did it in 2000-01.

The Windsor Spitfires hosted the Saginaw Spirit and skated to a 6-3 win. | Lindsey BlakeHometownHockey.ca Windsor - Sep. 22, 2017: The Windsor Spitfires skated to a 3-1 opening game victory over the Saginaw Spirit on Thursday night, in front of 5,083 fans at the WFCU centre.
The atmosphere was electric while Captain Aaron Luchuk raised the Memorial Cup for the fans before puck drop. The fourteen new faces on the roster looked jittery and did take some time for the new young guns, to work on all cylinders. FULL STORY |
