Penguins Off Target Fall To Crunch In Shootout

Wilkes-Barre Scranton - November 6, 2013 - The WBS Penguins got off to a good start tonight with some good pressure in the Syracuse zone early on but it wouldn’t last long, Syracuse put some pressure on of their own and took advantage of a WBS mistake Danick Gauthier would collect the puck come in on Deslauriers and back hand one in to the net making it one nothing Crunch.

Brown and Uher do a little dancing and end up with matching penalties creating a little 4 x 4 hockey but neither side got the advantage on that one. I posted this because I was on my way in from Philly trying to make the game and I did a little late but made it.

Just as I walked in the Arena doors Zolnierczyk scored making it one to one what a sound to enter a building to! Farnham would take an unsportsmanlike penalty putting WBS behind the eight ball and the Crunch would capitolize making it two to one with the end of the first in sight. that would be all for the period looking towards the second the Penguins trailed 2-1.

Andrew Ebbett would even the score for the Penguins wioth a nice wrap around tally may have even popped up off the back of Gudlevski, either way it was two all. Even though the Penguins evened up the score the second period seemed to be tilted towards Syracuse they just seemed to be out working the Pens at this point.

The beginning of the third period the Penguins looked as if they had it together but the Crunch seemed to take control again, that is until Andrew Ebbett got his second of the game making it 3-2 Pens.

Syracuse would get their 3rd tally of the night as Deslauriers gives up a rebound that Syracuse punches home making it three all. Thats the ball game folks heading for the OT, the Pens had a few chances even a wide open net but couldn’t get it done, as far as the shoot out well read the title.

WBS went 0 for 5 in the power play tonight one maybe more but one for sure that we were really counting had zero yes zero shots on net, just not a good thing.
